# NopeNotes
> NopeNotes is the best way for people who care about security and privacy to send notes to someone else. The most common use case is to securely share an API key or password where sending over a corporate or private chat doesn't provide enough security or a sense of privacy. NopeNotes is built with a security-first approach where notes are encrypted using 256-bit encryption algorithms. Encryption is done entirely in the browser and keys are stored in the URL generated and shared with the user. 

Important notes:
- The NopeNoptes team cannot read notes generated and stored in the database.
- After 7 days, the note will be purged (deleted) from the database.
- Once the note is read and presented to the recipient in the browser, the note is deleted from the database.
- Each URL is unique because it includes a unique encryption key.
- Note data is never shared or sold.
